Yesterday, we had the pleasure of attending Startups.be's Tech Startup Day at The Egg Conference and Meeting Centre in Brussels. What initially looked to be an informative and inspiring day away from our incubator turned out to be a massively overwhelming, yet totally exhilarating ride.

As we had been selected by a specialist jury comprising Omar Mohout (Sirris), Béatrice De Mahieu (Virtuology Academy), Simon Alexandre (The Faktory), Wim De Preter (De Tijd) and Frank Maene (Volta Ventures), we already felt extremely humbled and honored simply having been nominated.

Going in with relatively low expectations, especially since we were going up against some VERY strong competition, (a major shoutout goes out to Pridiktiv, Howaboutsales, Jack and Kensu; do check out their products, guys!) we were quite obviously thrilled to take home the gold medal. Or, rather, the synthetic orange and white award.

Without getting into too many standard Hollywood-inspired cliches: this seriously wouldn't have been possible without the incessant support of so many people around us who for some strange reason continue to believe in us!

Our team has been fortunate enough to have been surrounded by top tier advisors, mentors, investors, coaches, and so many other inspiring and dedicated people. Not to mention our amazing Small Teaser users (for all their feedback), as well as our friends and family (for putting up with us)!

We're profoundly humbled by the recognition, and we'll do whatever it takes to make sure we continue learning, experimenting, and growing upwards. Trust me when I say we had already set our minds on spectacular and hyper-ambitious endeavours, long before being named Startup Of The Year. This award simply poured an unmeasurable amount of igniter liquid on an already raging fire!
