Dez Bryant has been on the free agency market for a while now. A few teams have expressed interest in him but he has yet to accept any offers. The Cleveland Browns should be given serious consideration.

The Browns are coming off a season where they went winless last year. However, they have vastly improved since then. Josh Gordon finally got reinstated and they signed Jarvis Landry via free agency. Landry gave a passion speech about the team's expectation during training camp. Dez loved it.

They drafted Baker Mayfield, arguably the best player in the draft. Mayfield proved he has a lot of promise after a quality Thursday night performance against the New York Giants. He played a little over two quarters of football and put on a show.

Recently, the Browns tried to contact Dez on numerous occasions. According to Ian Rapoport, John Dorsey, the Browns General Manager, attempted to reach out to the former Cowboy. “He won’t return my phone calls. Maybe he is thinking about other stuff.”

After the news broke, Bryant took to Twitter to establish his interest once the again. Initially, Dorsey was getting the idea that Dez wasn’t serious about visiting the Browns.

Prior to Cleveland, very little interest has emerged for Bryant. The Baltimore Ravens were the first team to over him a deal. He turned down a three-year, 21-million-dollar contract.

Dez doesn’t want a multi-year deal. According to, he wants a one-year “prove it” contract. He wants a chance to prove to the world is can still play at an elite level and potentially earn one more mega deal. Dez is being too choosy and should consider other teams.

After the Dallas Cowboys released Bryant, he expressed his desire to join rival teams within the NFC East to get his revenge. Unfortunately, none of those teams want to sign him. He must realize that the best teams in the NFL aren’t going to give him a chance.

Players around the league want to play with Dez but management is another story. Antonio Brown went to Twitter to recruit him. Nevertheless, the Pittsburgh Steelers have yet to make an offer.

By signing with the Browns, he’d be signing with a young motivated team that needs his help. No one knows when Josh Gordon coming back to practice. Antonio Callaway is facing potential suspension. Not to mention the Browns traded Corey Coleman to the Buffalo Bills.

The Browns could use Bryant’s services but ultimately the decision is up to him. He is scheduled to visit teams next week. If he chooses Cleveland, he’ll be a part team that’s looking to turnaround years of misfortune and mediocrity.
