2015 saw quite a creative and dynamic shift in our history: Babylon, new ID, new Era, new Vision brought a re-imagined and updated Babylon;
a super beautiful logo redesigned and our headquarters became a modern street-art gallery with a cool graphic re-spray from one of Spain's finest street artists.

We breathed new life into our team with a reshuffle of partners and members and produced two solid, high quality and successful events at Skydive Empuriabrava.
We saw the Rebirth of Toys & Games in our Babylon Giconi summer party in July, a fantastic bringing-back of some elements of the old style boogie vibe to meet new flyers.
We had the Spirits of Dead animals and zombies, featured in the Babylon Rocky Horror Boogie, in October. A real horror of an event, no surprises, as the theme was borrowed from the movie, which has remaining a cultural icon for 40 years. Add to that Babylon Free-fly spirit, current for 18 years! It’s Halloween!
Evidently, as a man clad in a Dalmatian suit walks by and shakes hands with a masked jumper. Wild and creative for sure. What better wacky marriage than Past, Present and Future mixing together perfectly.

Branching out to create our intensive (short-but-sweet) Barcelona Xmas Boogie at Skydive Barcelona care of Cathy and Aldo, with city based antics in the evening, group organising and free coaching in a new small but seriously energised DZ.

We were very satisfied with how things went: An average of 50 plus flyers, attended each event, all different nationalities, ages, experience levels. Yet, all connected in their enthusiasm. They captured the Babylon spirit both in terms of the fun vibe and of the attention to technique and safety.

Once again, we were able to gather people with various levels, to allow them to interact - in the sky and on the ground - and to progress. This is the true spirit of Babylon: progression in technique of human flight while having fun and of course, as is always the case in this sport, sharing experiences and creating good vibes.

Still running our usual one-on-one student jump program and tunnel coaching packages throughout the year, as well as co-creating a wicked new brand of creatively designed flying suits with Giconi!

Pas mal, for a year with lots of change in policies and developments at a changing drop zone with a big shift in our team and personal goals. It all looks good to us and added up to creating a new vibe for Babylon team (Steff Fardel and Cathy Bouette), bringing in new members Aldo Comas (Giconi), and nurturing up-and-coming future members (tunnel flyer; Eliot Pothet). Our intentions for 2016 include; more zany and fun events, The Babylon/Monaco Freestyle Team in training for competition. Cathy and Domitille Kiger are teaming up also in training for the year, debuting their fast paced, artistic and unique routines at the Windoor “Wind Games” in January. We are all working on new flying suits for launch with Giconi this summer.

We thank our sponsors, Performance Designs, United Parachute Technologies, Giconi, Skydive Empuriabrava, Windoor, Cypres and L&B for their support and our students and friends for their contribution to Freefly in Europe and for bringing back the true spirit of creative Freefly in collaboration with Babylon Freefly.
