Vince McMahon created history on RAW (12/25/2018), when he announced that the women's division will be having a Tag Team title introduced next year. Though he meant RAW and SmackDown for sure, it is not sure whether NXT will also be having the same. Nevertheless, this is a landmark in the WWE for sure.
The Women's division never gained much importance in WWE until a couple of years back. Ever since Triple H and Stephanie took charge of WWE, the women's division has gained a helluva load of prominence. They announced the first ever women's Money in the Bank Ladder match. Then one by one, the steel cage, Last Women standing etc occurred and spurred a revolution in WWE.
Speaking of revolution, it was in 2018 that WWE had its first ever all women PPV called 'Evolution'. It was a historic moment, and, the fans loved it. They have carried the trend forward, and, is introducing the first ever WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. This would give them an edge over their fellow competitors and rival pro-wrestling organizations. It would garner high viewership and would be beneficial for WWE.
The entire world is awaiting to see, what new changes and possibilities would WWE bring along in 2019. The question which is hovering in the mind of the entire WWE Universe is that, which two wrestlers will become the first ever RAW and SmackDown Women's Champion respectively. Sasha Banks and Bayley have mentioned, that would be aiming to hold the titles.
Also, it will open up several new story-lines and rivalries. WWE would produce more feuds and superstars would deliver better matches. The PPVs will be full of surprises. It would mark the beginning of a new era in WWE. It started with a mission, and, is having a vision. Therefore, Vince McMahon perhaps the best gift to the WWE Universe on a Christmas eve, than any Santa Claus could have handed to the millions of WWE fans and enthusiasts across the globe.
We hope to see some remarkable tag team actions from the extremely talented Women roster in WWE.
