Wrestlemania season is always an exciting time for the WWE and its fans. There has been numerous memorable moments during past Wrestlemanias, including TLC matches, Rock vs. Hogan, Rock vs. Austin, and of course, any of the great matches that The Undertaker has been a part of. Wrestlemania 34 has the potential to be a stacked card. Below, we’ll go over predictions for every match on the card and even predict a few matches that have yet to be confirmed.
Cruiserweight Championship Tournament Final Cedric Alexander vs Mustafa Ali
Enzo Amore relinquished the Cruiserweight Title and was released by WWE. On 205 Live, there was a tournament for the Cruiserweight Title and the final match will be at WrestleMania. This match will likely take place at the pre-show, but should still be a pretty entertaining event. With WWE trying to re-launch the Cruiserweight division, Mustafa Ali seems like the Champion needed to push the Cruiserweight division forward.
Prediction: Mustafa Ali wins the Cruiserweight Title
The first-ever WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal
Any woman not involved in a title match or named Ronda Rousey can enter this match. WWE has been pushing the women’s division to the forefront recently with a lot of success. There is a good chance that we will see the likes of Sasha Banks, Bayley, Absolution, the Riott Squad and many veteran female wrestlers enter this match. While it would be interesting to see if a veteran like one of the Bella Twins or Trish winning the Battle Royal, I think it will come down to Bayley or Sasha Banks, in order to help push a current wrestler. Sasha Banks has been in the first ever Women’s Hell in a Cell, Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber but has lost all 3 matches. I can see WWE giving Sasha Banks the win that she deserves here by eliminating Bayley in the end, as the last two women remaining in the Battle Royal.
Prediction: Sasha Banks wins the Women’s Battle Royal
Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal
This match may end up on the pre-show as well, but in all likelihood will be on the main card. With only a few wrestlers confirmed for this match, it is one of the tougher ones to predict. Baron Corbin, Mojo Rawley and Tye Dillinger are among the wrestlers that have been confirmed for the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Out of the current group, Corbin has the only legitimate shot at winning the Battle Royal. But, since he has already won this Battle Royal in the past, it seems someone not confirmed yet will come away as the winner. There are a few prominent names without a confirmed match at WrestleMania. My prediction is Samoa Joe makes his return to get the crowd hyped for this match and wins the Battle Royal.
Prediction: Samoa Joe wins the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal
RAW Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Cesaro vs Braun Strowman and a mystery partner
Any match with Braun Strowman is must see. Strowman has quickly become the modern day Stone Cold Steve Austin and it is a shame that he is not in the main event at WrestleMania. As of writing this article, Braun Strowman’s partner for this match is not known. Elias will likely be Strowman’s partner or will enter the Battle Royal. It would be ironic if Elias ends up being Strowman’s partner, especially since he demolished Elias not too long ago. Strowman doesn’t even need a partner for the WWE to have him win this match, as he could easily do it on his own. Braun and his partner will win this match.
Prediction: Braun Strowman and his partner wins the Raw Tag Team Titles
SD! Live Tag Team Champions The Usos © VS. The New Day VS. THE Bludgeon Brothers
The Usos and New Day have put on some fantastic matches in the past and will likely carry this match. The Bludgeon Brothers have taken SD! Live by force and have destroyed any team in their path, including The Usos and The New Day at Fastlane. This could be the mid-card match that steals the show, as The Usos and New Day have done so before. I don’t see The Usos retaining the Tag Team Titles. My prediction is The New Day will win this match because NEW DAY ROCKS.
Prediction: The New Day wins the SD! Live Tag Team Titles
Daniel Bryan and a partner vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn
To be clear, as of the writing of this article, this match has not yet been confirmed. However, it seems more and more likely to occur with Daniel Bryan being cleared to wrestle. This match will likely get the fans really going wild with Bryan returning to ring action. The WWE and Daniel Bryan must really trust KO and Zayn’s in-ring ability to have them compete against Bryan in his first match back since he announced his retirement due to head and brain injuries. There is little-to-no-doubt Daniel Bryan and his partner pick up the win in this match. Expect the YES movement to be in full force.
Prediction: Daniel Bryan and his partner will win
Intercontinental Champion The Miz vs Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins
WWE has put together a great triple threat match for both the IC and US Title. This match features three former WWE Champions and each are worthy IC Champions.
The Miz has been very underrated and sometimes overlooked. He is good in the ring and great on the mic. He has brought legitimacy back to the IC Title. Meanwhile, Seth Rollins has really shown his in-ring ability recently in the gauntlet match on Raw and the Elimination Chamber.
Both Finn Balor and Seth Rollins were former Indie superstars. We can pretty much guarantee interference from the Miztourage in this match and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Balor Club also getting involved to remove the Miztourage.
This is a tough match to predict as I can see any of them winning. I would like The Miz to keep the title as he is one of my favorite wrestlers and has been a great IC champion, but I don’t think he will be able to do so in this match. I can see Finn Balor picking up the win and becoming the new IC champion.
Prediction: Finn Balor winning the IC Title
United States Champion Randy Orton vs Bobby Roode vs Jinder Mahal vs Rusev
This is another interesting triple threat match. I believe WWE gave Randy Orton the US Title at Fastlane in order to allow him to become a Grand Slam Champion. The WWE loves to create history as much as they can and they did so by giving Orton the title and becoming a Grand Slam Champion. This means I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him drop the title at Wrestlemania.
Bobby Roode has been successful since leaving TNA for WWE. He has won the NXT Title and the US Title. Will WWE give Roode the US Title back just 1 month after losing it? I highly doubt it. Otherwise, it would have made more sense to have him keep the title until Wrestlemania and have Orton win the title in this match.
So that leaves us with either Mahal, Orton or Rusev winning. Rusev got added to the match after he pinned Randy Orton on SD! Live. I doubt WWE will put the title on Rusev as he was just added to the match. The Mahal experiment has been terrible and he has not won over the fans at all, but yet the WWE keeps pushing him. We have seen WWE Champs who lose the title because they are not at that caliber become either IC or US Champs. I can see that being the case here with Jinder. Unfortunately, that leaves me to predict Jinder picking up the win using the help of the Singh brothers to pin Roode or Rusev and become the new US Champion.
Prediction: Jinder Mahal wins the US Title
RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jax
Alexa Bliss is my favorite female wrestler since Trish Stratus. She is good in the ring and fantastic on the mic. She has played the heel role very well, but still the fans love her. Unfortunately, I do not see her retaining the Raw Women’s Championship as WWE will continue to promote Nia Jax as unbeatable.
The reason that the WWE would want to build up the hype surrounding Jax is to have her finally lose to Ronda Rousey down the road and give the title to Rousey. Mickie James will likely interfere in this match to help Alexa, but Nia will overcome it and become the new Raw Women’s Champion.
Prediction: Nia Jax wins the Raw Women’s Title
SD! Live Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs Asuka
This will be the better of the two Women’s Championship matches. Charlotte Flair has been a terrific Women’s Champion, successfully defending her title on a consistent basis. However, Charlotte will finally meet her match in this one when facing the undefeated Asuka. Asuka has been absolutely dominant. She has not lost a singles match since joining the WWE.
I predict Asuka winning but her streak will actually come to an end. How can that be you ask? Asuka will defeat Charlotte and become the new SD! Live Women’s Champion but Carmella will cash in her Money In The Bank and end the streak. In the end, Carmella will hold the SD! Live Women’s title.
Prediction: Asuka defeats Charlotte for the Women’s Title but loses to Carmella when she cashes in. Carmella becomes the new SD! Live Women’s Champion
Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle vs Stephanie McMahon and Triple H
We will finally get the long awaited debut of Ronda Rousey in the ring. Of course, we need a dose of HHH and the Undertaker at Wrestlemania - otherwise it simply wouldn’t be Wrestlemania.
This match will likely be more HHH vs Kurt in the ring, as McMahon will keep tagging in HHH for the majority of the match to avoid fighting Rousey. I don’t see how WWE brings in Rousey just to have her lose her first ever match. Rousey will likely score the pinfall or submission on Stephanie and win the match.
Prediction: Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle win
John Cena vs Undertaker (as of writing this article, the match has not been confirmed but will more than likely occur)
It has gotten to the point where I truly believe that Undertaker will never retire and will always have a match at Wrestlemania. I am a big Undertaker fan… but come on, retire already. John Cena will have to carry this match, as the Undertaker can no longer handle the physical demands of a high profile match. This match can go one of two ways. WWE can either have Cena finally end the Undertaker and put him in retirement or WWE sets the Undertaker off in the sunset with one last Wrestlemania victory.
Either way, I think this will finally be Undertaker’s final match. Since Taker has given everything to WWE and is a legend, I think WWE has him go out on top. I’m predicting that Undertaker beats John Cena after Cena carries the match and dominates for the majority of it.
Prediction: Undertaker beats Cena and finally hangs it up
WWE Champion AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura
This has been a dream match for WWE fans and will likely be the best match of the night. There may not be two guys more over than AJ and Shinsuke. Both are fantastic wrestlers and have wrestled each other in Japan. AJ had to win a 6-pack challenge at Fastlane to retain his WWE Championship and Nakamura won the Royal Rumble and chose to face AJ.
The WWE cannot go wrong with who wins this matchup and the fans will be loud as both are fan favorites. They can view this scenario as a one-time only match (it won’t be, but for now they can pretend) and have AJ win, otherwise AJ will want a rematch. If that is the case, it could be the reason as to why AJ wins.
WWE may also want the title on Nakamura and have him win it in what will be a great match. This one truly looks like a 50/50 match to me, but I believe we will be crowning a new WWE Champion at Wrestlemania and am predicting that Nakamura wins this match.
Prediction: Shinsuke Nakamura wins the WWE Championship
WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar (c) (with Paul Heyman) vs. Roman Reigns
Well, guess what? We get another Roman Reigns main event at Wrestlemania. WWE has been building this match for nearly four years. Both guys are the only wrestlers to ever beat Undertaker at Wrestlemania. It is no secret that Lesnar is going back to the UFC and will drop the WWE Universal Championship to Reigns.
While the result of this match may not be in doubt, I do have a somewhat bold prediction for how this one will play out. I believe that Heyman will betray Lesnar and bring in Bobby Lashley to attack Lesnar since he will be leaving for UFC.
This outcome will likely not make this match any more interesting, but I am also a biased Braun Strowman fan that thinks he deserves to be in the main event instead of the boring Roman Reigns. Even though Strowman is over with the fans like crazy and the fans can’t stand Reigns, WWE continues to push him because - *cough cough* - he is cousins with The Rock. Reigns will win the WWE Universal Championship.
Prediction: Roman Reigns wins the WWE Universal Championship
