The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns each had dramatic story lines heading into the game against one another on Sunday afternoon at First Energy Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. The Steelers did not have running back Le'Veon Bell because of a hold out and the Browns have not won a game since Week 16 of the 2016 season at home against the San Diego Chargers.
The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns played a 21-21 tie. It was rainy there and it caused a problem for both kickers in overtime. Chris Boswell and Zane Gonzales each missed a field goal in overtime.
James Conner scored on a four-yard rushing touchdown in the second-quarter for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In the third-quarter, Tyrod Taylor tied the game on a 20-yard touchdown run.
Antonio Brown caught a 22-yard touchdown pass from Ben Roethlisberger in the third-quarter for the Pittsburgh Steelers. James Conner also scored on a 22-yard touchdown run in the third-quarter.
Brown finished with nine receptions for 93 yards receiving and a touchdown. JuJu Smith-Schuster was the Steelers leading receiver and he caught five passes for 119 yards receiving. Roethlisberger completed 23-of-41 passes for 335 yards one touchdown and three interceptions. He also rushed for 16 yards on three carries.
Conner rushed for 135 yards on 31 carries and two touchdowns. He also caught five passes for 57 yards receiving.
The Cleveland Browns scored two touchdowns in the fourth-quarter. Carlos Hyde scored on a 1-yard rush and Tyrod Taylor threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Josh Gordon.
Hyde rushed for 62 yards on 22 carries and one touchdown. He also caught one pass for three yards. Gordon only had one reception for 17 yards receiving and a touchdown. Taylor completed 15-of-40 passes for 197 yards one touchdown and one interception. He also rushed for 77 yards on eight carries and a touchdown. Jarvis Landry was the Cleveland Browns leading receiver with seven catches for 106 yards receiving.
Defensive end Myles Garrett was a beast for the Cleveland Browns. He recorded six tackles, had two sacks, and forced two fumbles. Rookie Denzel Ward had two interceptions in his NFL debut.
Speaking of beast mode, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt recorded four sacks and had eight tackles. The Steelers defense had seven totals sacks.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will host the Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday and the Cleveland Browns will go on the road to face the New Orleans Saints (0-1).
