The NFL season officially begins in less than a month from now and one of the hot topics is discussing who will win MVP in 2018. Tom Brady won that award for the fourth time in his career last season. Other than Tom Brady, who else can win the MVP Award in 2018?

The first player that comes to mind is Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz. He was going to win the MVP last season if he didn't tear his ACL in Week 14 on the road against the Los Angeles Rams. Wentz was a magician with the ball. He helped out Nick Foles when he was hurt. If Carson Wentz is ready to go Week 1, he has a very good chance to win the award. Wentz completed 60.2 percent of his passes for 3,296 yards 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions last season. Wentz also rushed for 299 yards on 64 carries.

The second player that comes to mind is Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff. Goff found his groove last season under new head coach Sean McVay. During Goff's rookie season, it looked like he was going to be a bust under Jeff Fisher. Entering Jared Goff's third season, he should be one of the favorites to win the MVP. Goff completed 62.1 percent of his passes for 3,804 yards 28 touchdowns and seven interceptions last season. He rushed for 51 yards on 28 carries and one touchdown.

The third player that comes to mind is Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley. Gurley's career was resurrected last season. It looked he lost his touch offensively before McVay arrived. Gurley signed a contract extension this offseason because of his play last season. He is a touchdown waiting to happen every time he touches the ball. Todd Gurley rushed for 1,305 yards on 279 carries and 13 touchdowns last season. He also caught 64 passes for 788 yards receiving and six touchdowns.

The fourth player that comes to mind is Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. When healthy, he might be the best quarterback in the game. Rodgers is one hit away from his career possibly ending. The Green Bay Packers are one of the worst teams in the NFL when he is not playing. Rodgers missed several games last season because of a collarbone injury. It was the second time in his career he suffered that kind of injury. In seven games last season, Aaron Rodgers completed 64.7 percent of his passes for 1,675 yards 16 touchdowns and six interceptions. He also rushed for 126 yards on 24 carries.

The fifth player that comes to mind is Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. He was the heart and soul of the Texans offense last season. They faltered when Watson tore his ACL in the middle of the football season. He can run and throw the ball effectively. Deshaun Watson only played in seven games last season, and he completed 61.8 percent of his passes for 1,699 yards 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Watson rushed for 269 yards on 36 carries and scored two touchdowns.

The sixth player that comes to mind is San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. He started for the San Francisco 49ers when they were 1-10 and they finished with a 6-10 record. Garoppolo led two fourth-quarter game-winning drives in that span. He is 7-0 in his career as a starter. Garoppolo was acquired in a trade at the trade deadline from the New England Patriots for a 2018 second-round pick. The Patriots might regret that in the long run. The 49ers have a real possibility of making the playoffs this season because of the presence of Jimmy Garoppolo. He completed 67.4 percent of his passes for 1,560 yards seven touchdowns and five interceptions last season. Garoppolo also rushed for 11 yards on 15 carries and one touchdown.
