Trail Blazers Defeat Lakers; Spoil Lebron James's Debut in LA

After Lebron James had two thunderous dunks early in the game to ignite the crowd and the Lakers bench early in the game and the Los Angeles Lakers led 10-4 on the road against the Portland Trail Blazers. Portland called a timeout and they settled downed after that. The Trail Blazers won the game 128-119.

The Portland Trail Blazers also honored owner Paul Allen before the game because he passed away earlier in the week at the age of 96.

The Trail Blazers guard combo of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum was spectacular once again. Lillard scored 28 points, grabbed six rebounds, recorded four assists, blocked one shot, and had one steal. McCollum scored 21 points, grabbed five rebounds, and had one assist.

Jusuf Nurkic had 16 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and had two steals. The Portland Trail Blazers bench was fantastic and they scored 55 points off the bench. Nik Stauskus tied a career-high with 24 points. He also grabbed two rebounds, recorded two assists, and had one steal.

Evan Turner scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds off the bench. Zach Collins scored six points, grabbed six rebounds, and blocked six shots.

Lebron James led the way for the Los Angeles Lakers with 26 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and one steal. Brandon Ingram scored 16 points, grabbed four rebounds, recorded one assist, blocked two shots and had two steals.

Rajon Rondo and JaVale McGee each scored 13 points. Rondo also had 11 assists. McGee also grabbed eight rebounds.

Josh Hart scored 20 points off the bench for Los Angeles. He also grabbed four rebounds, recorded one assist, had two blocks, and had three steals. Kyle Kuzma scored 15 points, grabbed five rebounds, and blocked a shot off the bench.

Lonzo Ball came off the bench. He scored seven points, grabbed four rebounds, and recorded one assist.

These two teams will play each other two more times this season. The Los Angeles Lakers next game is against the Houston Rockets at home on Saturday night. The Portland Trail Blazers next game is against the San Antonio Spurs at home on Saturday night.
