Brock Lesnar will be returning to UFC later this year and it has been rumored that he would drop The Universal Championship at Summerslam so he can leave WWE but lately, other rumors have emerged stating that Brock Lesnar doesn't intend to leave WWE completely but he would like to work with WWE and UFC simultaneously. It's understandable from a business perspective, as TV ratings are high when Brock Lesnar is scheduled to appear and Brock is too wise to let go of such an amazing opportunity. Brock Lesnar can become a multi-millionaire by working with WWE and UFC at the same time without having a hectic schedule. This can also open doors to a potential WWE/UFC crossover event down the line. Here, we will discuss different Brock Lesnar story-lines and feuds which are yet to be explored and would keep fans interested in his story-lines.
Brock Lesnar finally made his return to RAW last week and laid waste to the General Manager Kurt Angle with a devastating F5. The thing that is bothering WWE Universe the most is that how Kurt Angle can just ignore the assault and move on. Kurt Angle needs to go after Lesnar and a re-feud between the two would be entertaining. Their 2003 feud was brilliant. The feud lasted for nearly a year without ever getting boring. The two put on some amazing matches and their segments were highly entertaining too. A short feud between the two should happen if Lesnar decides to stay with WWE and their match could have a possible stipulation that if Angle wins, Lesnar would have to leave Raw but if he loses, then he would be fired as the General Manager of Raw.
Back at Summerslam 2016, Brock Lesnar delivered an F5 to the Smackdown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon. Fans speculated that the two would face each other at either Survivor Series 2016 or Wrestlemania 33 but Lesnar ended up facing the returning Goldberg at both of the above mentioned events. Since 2016, Brock has been a part of the Raw roster and has feuded with almost every top superstar there. A move to Smackdown would open the door to some refreshing story-lines and feuds for The Beast Incarnate. Brock could start attacking random members of the Smackdown roster during their matches which would lead to Shane McMahon taking a stand against the Beast Incarnate. An intense and heavy-hitting match is guaranteed if the two of them ever decide to settle their differences in the ring.
Paul Heyman stated a few weeks ago that Brock Lesnar would like to hold both The UFC Heavyweight Championship and The Universal Championship at the same time and if Lesnar ends up working with both WWE and UFC, then the possibility of Lesnar retaining at Summerslam is high. If Lesnar retains at Summerslam, he would become nearly unstoppable and would head into his UFC match as the Universal Champion and if he somehow wins the UFC Heavyweight Championship too, then WWE would push him even harder and Lesnar would dominate the title picture for the better part of 2019 as well.
Ever since news of Lashley signing with WWE broke out earlier this year, fans have been expecting to see a dream match between Lashley and Brock Lesnar. It finally started to seem like we would be getting that match when Lashley defeated Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules this year but all plans went to waste when Reigns defeated Lashley to become the #01 contender. If Lesnar decides to stay with WWE, then a feud with Lashley must happen sooner than later. The two of them also share an impressive MMA record which can play a part in their feud.
In 2013, Lesnar was rumored to have a match with The Rock at Wrestlemania the following year and a match was even teased when Lesnar was destroying Triple H's office and stopped midway to stare at a poster featuring The Rock. The Rock was severely injured at Wrestlemania 29 during his match with John Cena and was advised to stay out of the ring. Ever since then, The Rock has only made guest appearances on Raw and PPVs. Now that The Rock is finally considering a return to the ring next year and the news of Lesnar possibly resigning with WWE circulating around the web, it's possible that we would finally get to see the match between The Great One and The Beast Incarnate at Wrestlemania 35.
We saw Brock Lesnar attacking Paul Heyman last week. It's possible that Paul Heyman ends up betraying Lesnar at Summerslam to align with a new guy, possibly Kevin Owens. If Kevin Owens somehow defeats Braun Strowman and gets the Money in the Bank briefcase at Summerslam, it's possible that Paul Heyman helps Kevin Owens in becoming the Universal Champion by betraying Brock Lesnar and this would lead to Lesnar feuding with Paul Heyman and Kevin Owens. The only problem with this feud is that it has already happened when Heyman betrayed Lesnar for Big Show at Survivor Series 2002 but regardless, a feud between Lesnar and Heyman in 2018 would be enjoyable and an alliance with Heyman would also help Owens or any other superstar in getting the deserving push.
